Someone asked me the other day why the new generation of kids are so dumb, disrespectful, and unmotivated. I say the same things I always say. It's the culture they were raised in and who they were raised by. I'm not saying every teenager these days is an idiot, but a vast majority fits into this category, and it's just plain sad.The media condones this idiocy. Drinking, drugs, sex, and dropping out of school are common themes. Be a rebel; drink and drive, drop out of high school at sixteen, get your girlfriend pregnant.
In my opinions, rebels are just plain stupid. Go ahead, be different, but don't ruin your life and others' while you do it.
Stupid jokes are funny. Stupid people are sad.
I vote for intelligence!

There are so many people of that kind nowadays, they're not rebels anymore, the way I see it.

In my middle school, I see people making out in the locker area, trash talking innocent people, and tease little kids on campus. What's even worst that in class, everybody shouts out answers and comments after every word of my teachers say. I didn't learn a lot of things this year...

Welcome to my world. Sometimes it seems like I'm one of the few kids who appreciate good humor, while most of the kids are still laughing at fart jokes and silly faces- even though I love a funny face every now and then... but fart jokes were left behind in second grade.

At my school, I don't get why kids will, whenever one of the "retards", as i have labeled them, gets in trouble, or makes fun of someone, everyone else, even the the "smart" people, laugh. The teachers will even laugh at them sometimes, and I don't get any of it.

I miss the 90's and early 2000's D: Everything was way better when your a kid.

Definite journal feature. I hate my own generation... I'm a freshmen right now and I'm called the over achiever that everyone copies their answers from and lays the group projects onto.. But almost everyone I've known has been a spoiled brat in my area that's either a prep wannabe, or a jock wannabe. Gosh, I am so tiered of all of those jerk/idiots that do just about anything that's breaking the rules, I do it too, but not almost everyday, The team I was on could barley get on any trips, only because more Dummies were on our team than the other team. My art class was just a nightmare, Some kids ruined a sketch I made, one kid kept saying I was a he,one kid put his arm around me when I was just drawing, I also get told to mind my own business when defending my friends from a bully, kids are actually proud of getting F's, it is out of control there, it'll make you sick.
