Someone asked me the other day why the new generation of kids are so dumb, disrespectful, and unmotivated. I say the same things I always say. It's the culture they were raised in and who they were raised by. I'm not saying every teenager these days is an idiot, but a vast majority fits into this category, and it's just plain sad.The media condones this idiocy. Drinking, drugs, sex, and dropping out of school are common themes. Be a rebel; drink and drive, drop out of high school at sixteen, get your girlfriend pregnant.
In my opinions, rebels are just plain stupid. Go ahead, be different, but don't ruin your life and others' while you do it.
Stupid jokes are funny. Stupid people are sad.
I vote for intelligence!

I hate to stereotype any age group but I do find it incredibly difficult to get along with other teenagers due to the reasons you've mentioned in your artist's comments. I honestly don't get the whole binge drinking and drug scene and find it really difficult to relate with people who are into it.

totally agree. I'm 14 and most of people [of my age] laugh at me when I talk about life and education. I don't live for school. no. just I take school serious [ok... not sooo serious] and the excuse of drink and drive, or of having sex just for the fact of doing it, is: "life is short, we have to make the most of it!". man, we can make the most of our lifes safely. and most of them don't understand me.
so I think I fit on that rare teenagers that give some value for life, mine and the others'.

I agree.It annoys the hell out of me when young people start to do drugs and such to prove to their so called friends they're cool and not afraid to take risks. Makes me wanna grab them by the collar and slap them on the face with a wet fish till they come to their senses
And when people flame stuff they actually like just because it isn't concidered cool, well, that's just sad. the so called "rebels" aren't even rebeling. They just switch sides from reason to insanity, which is quite lame if you look into it. Even if they play by other rules, they still don't make the rules.
i hate the way our modern world is degrading. I don't even wanna know where we'll be in a decade or two...

I have met so many stupid people at my schools. A few years ago, this girl actually asked me how to spell DNA and she was 14. Holy crap! That's like asking what the number for 911 is! I practically had to write it out for her. A lot of kids at my school can't even spell 'tree' or 'the'. GAH! *bangs head against desk* So many of these kids are so focused on what they want to do now and not on what could happen in the future without their education. I suppose they think they can get a job without a high school education. Sometimes I feel ashamed and disgusted to be apart of their age group.

My best friend once had a friend who knocked up his girlfriend and after died in a car accident because he was drunk. A few months later his girlfriend had an abortion and did drugs. The world we live in.
