I'm still alive, really!I don't know how many times i'm going to say i'll be updating more given changes going on in my life, so i'm just not even gonna say so this time.
Instead, have some Tron art. Because. Tron. It is amazing. If you haven't already, find yourself some Tron:Uprising and watch the hell out of it. It's an INCREDIBLE series, and it needs more viewers for us to see a Season 2 in the future. It's available on Netflix!
This is probably not the last Tron fanart you'll be seeing from me. Sorrrrreeeeeee.

Ahh, Tron Legacy. The pinnacle of Missed Opportunities. Still, the coming-someday sequel has a chance to give us what was neglected in its predecessor.
Haven't seen Uprising, but it's good to hear about it.

What do you mean? I find Legacy positively sound, with the only minor lack being in the Iso department. But how do you jump into a concept that suddenly with somewhat of an obtuse genre? The first Tron was impressive in its time, but painfully outdated now. Replenishing its incredible beauty with a continuation was a great idea, but wrong timing. People don't understand originality in our day and age, and because it wasn't a remake, it was even harder to be interpreted by the brainwashed masses awaiting the remakes of still-glorious films that don't need remaking at this time.
Tron: Uprising delves into The Grid itself, and the character and our beloved, Tron. It's painfully good, through and through. But it's a serious shame Disney turns a blind eye to its glory. Still awaiting word on a possible second season. Ugh.

Mostly because Tron himself was absent, and that's what bothered me. Sure, he wound up being the Ray Park-alike throughout, but all the same, I pictured there would be a battle for redemption towards the end; something that would make the climax have more grandiose, that Tron would remove his helmet, battle Clu to give the Users time to clear out, then Flynn and his clone would have their confrontation.
The film almost felt like it was a two hour long teaser for a "real" sequel to Tron. There was Dilinger's son. Just mentioned in one scene, then never heard from again. Bouncing back to Tron, clearly he goes good again, alone in the ocean. Flynn is stuck in limbo, bringing things back to formula. All this will be dealt with in Tron 3, which I'm eager to check out. But in the meantime, although I enjoyed my time with the film, it left me wanting more.
But in its defense, it's the only 3D movie I've seen (beyond a trailer) that made me jump, so props to that.

Why you kill my dreams? Lol.
To be fair, I saw Legacy with new, bewildered eyes. I was one of the many who hadn't seen the original. So Rinzler was some insanely sexy badass..."...alone in the ocean." That makes me so sad. Haha.
I think it was a good way to make a sequel to an original made so long ago. People already seemed lost. I can't imagine what it would have been like with a thorough story attached to the first.
