Some art I contributed to this book. All the art is done by the artists below and myself, even though our names are barely visible on the credits of the book and it's signed in big letters by the one person who didn't draw a single illustration in it.
And no, I'm not usually so bitter with my clients, but after a contract breach with no indemnization because the guy knows I don't have the money to sue him, I don't want to smile for the crowd.

I have several of his books and LOVE them all.Β Thank you, and to all that contributed it has helped a lot.Β I only started drawing people about a year and a half ago but feel the books have helped me actually progress.Β

Looks like a great book, but I think it's terrible that multiple fantastic artists contribute to this book while Christopher Hart gets most of the credit. It does include "contributing artists" in the copyright section of the book at the beginning, yet it makes not mention of it on the front or back cover. I think that the other artists should most certainly be given way more credit. I don't know how much work or art Christopher Hart put into that book, but it should AT LEAST be titled "Drawing with Christopher Hart and Others" so that people have a better indication that it wasn't just him. I know that it should be obvious with the different art styles in the book, but I can't help but think that people will over-look that and not know anyway.

Christopher Hart is a fraud. He USED to actually do the art in his books, but he now makes money off other people's talents. He himself cannot draw in anime style and knows nothing about manga. I have actually worked in Japan for 12 years and know the industry pretty well, and when I once offered him some advice he responded by blocking me and attacking me.Β
So I agree with you fully. His books make it seem like he does the work when he does not, he only goes around and scouts actual talent.

It's true, he's pretty well known for that. And you have to kind of lost some respect for an artist that does that... as well as the fact that one of his books refers to breasts as a "muscle" >>" If I remember correctly someone once tried to correct him on that as well and they were also met with rude remarks.
In general I don't buy his books because I have a lack of respect for him; however, I do respect the artists featured in the books that actually put in hard work and have talent.

I have to agree with that first sentence. Its misleading, but i think it might just be a logo, like how ppl have their names for shoes,clothes,store names. And it doesn't say "By" Chris-blah blah Β
