My goal was to create an retro SF picture. Background was build in 3dsmax. Scene was build in Poser and I used some filtering in photopaint to achive an cartoonish look.If you liked this picture you may be interested to see more of my science-fiction themed 3D art.

hmmm it looks cartoonish, but to moi it looks more like a cg animation series. like the characters being viewed through a camera. thats how i see the lines across it as. very nicely nice

the lady looks afraid like somthing is behined her mabey? i like the device she is using it looks real.

Unique... I think it reminds me of those old Sci Fi posters or a book cover more than a comic, but it's very well done. I really like how it looks almost as if you were looking at it through a moniter or a bit of TV snow. I really hope she doesn't get struck by lightning while wearing that suit... she'd come out like a roasted hen. Great piece.

the sketch filter on it gives it a strange appearance but i can still make out the 3D qualities of the piece. interesting concept, reminds me of the intros that i used to see on science information films back in middle school

Very old school sci-fi space opera look. Nailed it if that was what you were trying to achieve. The pixelation bothers me somwhat as it's partly more cartoonish and partly more realistic. It would have worked better with an all out cartoon look. Realistic look would have required a more refined technique.
