Oh lawd... This idea just randomly popped into my head today and I felt like drawing it... OTL Doesn't really make sense but.... Brawl Taunts is win... And recently I've been liking Gelphie more than ElphiexFiyero. I don't like how it casts Fiyero as the bad guy, but Galinda beating someone up with a frying pan = epic.I would be drawing more worthwhile stuff... I have ideas... but I don't want to make those ideas come out badly because... this pic right here is pretty much the pinnacle of my ability to draw XD

I dunno, if we're talking book cannon then Gelphie all the way, as for the musical, Gelphie is still great but I love Fiyero...

Haha, I ship Gelphie in both, but I actually like book!Fiyeraba more than in the musical (mostly because I hate Fiyero in the musical... not the character himself but the changes he represents... and the fact that they just HAD to create a 2 girls wanting 1 guy love triangle... when there already was a perfectly good love triangle in the book... just with Elphaba in the middle, not Fiyero.)

I liked book Fiyeraba too, it's just that book Gelphie seemed more appealing somehow; tragically beautiful (heh, c wat I done thar?). Honestly, I can't choose and just sort of drift between the two of them at random moments. Pink goes with green, but so do blue diamonds. I have to say I did prefer the book's love triangle, though; still, I suppose they felt Broadway wasn't quite ready for a lesbian pairing between the two main characters, subtle as it is.

Oh, I totally prefer book gelphie over book Fiyeraba, I just meant I prefer book fiyeraba over musical fiyeraba. But I totally agree with you - whenever I read the book I actually get all these fiyeraba feels and I'm like "what no gelphie is meant to be" and then I start crying.
Sadly I think the producers made a too-conservative mistake with the musical. I don't think Broadway "wasn't ready" for a prominently featured lesbian relationship in a musical - the most famous one was in fact originally done by Idina Menzel as well (RENT, of course) – and that did pretty damn well. I know where the decision came from, but I still strongly disagree with it. No helping it now, though; and the musical is still great, but it disappoints me when people only know the musical and not the book.

I actually saw the musical before I read the book (although I at least knew there was a book), whilst I'd heard it was darker I was pretty surprised; I hadn't expected it to be such an adult book given the musical and the fact it was based on The Wizard of Oz.
Tragically, I've never seen Rent, although I had to sing a song from it at a drama group once.

Fiyeraba warms my heart . . . as long as Kris Cusick isn't Fiyero.
But this made me laugh VERY hard.
