I finally saw a live production of it tonight, and it seemed like such a great show to work with. I've seen the movie about a million times, but anyone who's ever been involved in drama knows that's not the same

Haha yeah, and there's the fact that the musical completely different ending! I like the depressing ending alot more, actually. And the finale song is just a lot of fun to sing!

I agree, the tragic ending is better. I find it very hard to swallow that Audrey would be able to survive Audrey II gnawing on her for a couple of minutes, no matter how quickly Seymour saved her.
I really liked Don't Feed the Plants. I lt made me wish they'd left the ending alone in the film. The test audiences are silly...they obviously couldn't appreciate what I felt gave a much better message, showing the dangers of making compromise in life.
