If I ever draw this design again, female Kamina will look way better. (it had been a while since I last drew anything when i shelled this out) I just felt like Kamina would need the epic anime girl sideburns if he got gender swapped. Blame the internets with their haruhi and gurren lagann craziness for this one. I drew it out of annoyance that everyone was giving her either crazy short hair or crazy long Nia-esque hair.Related content

Big eyelashes AND big eyebrows do not a pretty gal make.

She needs to be more awesome than pretty anyway. lol. It probably doesn't help though that I messed up when drawing her eyebrows and they didn't erase well. <.<

Okay, first off--thank you for doing something with Kamina's hair. I've not seen any cases of giving Femme!Kamina hair of Nia proportions, but I have seen artwork of Femme!Kamina with the same hairstyle as the male counterpart...which is boring. What makes yours win hard is the fact that you varied the style a bit--the hair has a fuller-looking body, and the sideburns definitely give her a "rough" touch.

Thanks! Ever since I saw the first Gender-swapped Kamina I've wanted to draw my own with this kind of hair. I've just always felt like ass-long raggedy girl-sideburns were just made of hardass. It makes me think back to Bubblegum Crisis' (Tokyo 2040's) Priss. No denying the badassitude there. *nods* Kamina deserves such things.
But yeah, it's weird but I've seen images where people just edit Nia out of pics with Simon and turn her into femme-Kamina. It's bizarre because I could never imagine wavy blue hair like that coming from any kind of Kamina. Not to mention the fact that everything else about her was all smiley and cute. Didn't seem right. There were some with crazy long pony-tails that were acceptable though. *nods*
Glad you like it though! Makes me want to do a proper drawing, with correct arm tattoos this time.

A genderswap is essentially taking a male or female character and drawing them as the other gender. So no, this isn't really a guy. <.< This is my rendition of Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as female, because I didn't think any of the ones I'd been seeing really worked well.
