Wait. What? The Angela from Spawn... The comics I remember reading back in the 90's... Is now in Thor comics? Image to Marvel jump over or WtF am I missing here? I read just past issue 100 and own most of that first 100 issues including her death. SO this kinda confuses me.

Freaking wow... Honestly never saw that coming. LoL. Awesome job on the art BTW. But damn, talk about a surprise to see her back at all after she died in Spawn issue 100. But in Thor of all places blows me away. Cool though.

Marvel had to acquire the rights by jumping through some hoops with Neil Gaiman.... but with the MCU building and the characters who normally were less then popular now being icons again...it makes some sense to flesh out their worlds with new stuff.

Makes sense to me. And why not. A lot of people who are in the demographic the're aiming for wouldn't know her from anything before. I mean, Spawn #100 was years ago now. And if you are a reader my age who does know her from those comics, it grabs your attention to stop and pick it up. 90% of the time, if you can get them to pick it up off the shelf, they'll buy it. So it's very smart business idea to rehash older and less known characters and their rights from other publishers if possible. Making money. Marvel's got it down.

Plus it keeps cool characters around giving them new life. I'm sure you can think of characters who were good but are gone...that could have been brought to a larger franchise. Marvel did it will Malibu...but really never used the characters long. Pity

While there are rumors of a true business reason, the popular fan version is that Marvel bought Malibu as either a talent raid or with the open desire to kill it (preferably with FIRE) as they could not take the competition.
Sadly those characters are not coming back.

Transformers would have died off if not for DW comics... I think Marvel is trying to get them back though. But you are right. It helps with giving the writers more to work with without having to invent new characters that don't cross any lines of copyrights. They just own them outright now. 
If only Spawn could come back though and STILL be as bad ass as he was in those last issues I read.

Because people who fly and shoot lasers from various body parts should be dressed practically.
Oh, unless people complain about a costume having black and silver (indicative of death and mystery) instead of blue and gold (indicative of honor, virtue and faith) in which case we put her in booty shorts but leave the colors unchanged.
