He's influenced by a number of things in Martin and my love of bots in the past. There is video of him on our youtube page and he has his own FB fan page. Not updated much but he started developing his own fan following so we had to.

Also swatrzwald - I can't remember exact dates, but K-9 dates from 1973 or 74, and Muffet from 1977 to 79 (also, Muffet was actually a chimp in costume and not a robodog).

Based partly on the novelisation, and partly on the series:-
A dagget was originally a sort of dog-like pet creature in the original 1978 series (Dirk Benedict as Starbuck).
The character "Boxey" (Noah Hathaway) owned a daggit called "Muffit", which was killed in the Cylon attact on Caprica in the pilot (or film in the UK). It was replaced by a "robo-dagget" called "Muffit 2" in the show, and represented by a chimpanzee in some highly polished part-armour. It may have been more orange than brown (but that may be an effect of watching "Never Twice the Same Colour" television).
