I agree with the part about the second group. It's just stupid and disgusting. However, I am clinically depressed (and my mom makes me take meds not ment for depression [can we say 'make it worse?']) so I do self-harm. It is not cool. well some emos are just people suffering from depression.
Other people made depression into a fashion which makes recovery almost impossible.
I'm closer to goth than anything, but I consider myself as a whole new category.
However, I practice self mutilation to extremes.
