Description
What's he tracking? Probably Kaltenbach or one of his wolves. Mortal enemies.Anyways, I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things. I haven't actually drawn anything remotely serious for a while so I just was playing around with some snow and decided to draw Goltz into the picture for some more screen time. Maybe the next one I'll do all the Soviet dogs together. Who knows. I have fun drawing them and poor Rykov never gets any screen time.
Enjoy!

Only 3 comments still? Even so, wow, I would have really expected more by now. I'm not saying you should mind that, but you're a great artist, I'd at least expect more fans. BUT, I was going to say he looks like a German Shepherd Dog? My favorite breed.
The story behind this seems interesting, I'd love to hear it if you ever write it... or draw a comic... or just feel like explaining. XD
But ah... I love his dark expression. He seems annoyed, yet I can't find it in my head to look at it like that. He simply looks like he's ready to crack a joke or something random, he has that face of a friend that does that to me all the time. Nice effect on the snow by the way! It seems the blur makes it look close up, if you do another snowy picture, maybe you could try making the snow farther away more defined instead of all of the snow?

Yup. German Shepherd Dog. Well, EAST German Shepherd Dog. When I first made Goltz it was a joke because he's part of my Soviet dog pack/gang (whatever you want to call them) and then I found out that East German Shepherd Dogs were in fact a breed. I was shocked, but very pleased. People couldn't say I was making things up, then. x)
I plan on making their story into a comic. I always go back to these characters when I think about graphic novels and such. I just have to work out the kinks of the plot and such.
Goltzi is a funny character. He's tracking the wolves (Kaltenbach, Falke, and Klaus and their gang). Misha's probably behind him telling him that he's a lousy tracker (even though Misha is the one who can't track. lol).
Yes. I see what you're saying about it. I think it's because I put the snow in first and then Goltz... lol. I'll definitely do another snow picture (I have since here, too. lol) and I'll keep your advice in mind. ^^

Hah, yeah you could say that. I believe most people simply call them German Shepherd Dogs and then just define if they have German bloodlines or American bloodlines. East and West German Shepherd Dogs also make sense though if you think about it. And golly gosh, who thought you were making that up? XD It sounds real to me... then again, I'm a know-it-all when it comes to large, working dogs. :3
Well then, I can't wait to read the comic. It sounds like a really interesting story, even by how much I can understand at the moment. I've been thinking about novels and such at the moment. Characters are easy, it's definitely the plot and such. That's what everyone has trouble with, but you have to admit, just making characters is pretty addicting on its own. x)
Haha, well, I was starting at the back and going to the more recent, that way I could see your progress. As for the snow... maybe you could put a layer or snow on top of your background, but before the character. That could be like, your distant snow which is more defined or blurry... depending on how you "see through the camera" if you know what I mean. Then after you draw the character and shade and all that such, you make another layer or snow and then make that more defined or blurry. Defined if the camera is focusing on the snow, blurry if it's focusing on the camera. ^-^ Though I'm sure you knew that.
I like to throw the ideas out anyway.

It's not really that interesting... I don't know. I think I might just use something else for a comic. I don't think Misha can cut it in that particular story. I mean, it could be cool, but *shrugs* I'd like something a bit more... unique. Something that I have and am too paranoid to divulge. lol. I will one day, though.
Will keep it in mind. I like suggestions. Although I don't know if I'd like too many snow layers... x) Rather just work off one or two. Too many gets confusing, even if I name them.

Eh, well I do anyway. XD I know what you mean though, spice things up a bit eh? Be adventurous!
And of course only one or two, it would get confusing if you did so many. XD Then again if it's a blizzard...
