Description The Butterfly Mistress
"Water so seductively cruel..."

What comes after portraits? What is behind them? Who burns so intensely inside?
The mood fell into place thanks to George songs, Fiscal Policy and my green eyes.

the framing and lighting give this piece a lot of delicacy, mystery and beautiful. The subtle textures really makes this seem more than just a portrait...great work Helena

This is lovely....and a nice move for you. The over texturing is wonderful and the greenish tone (which I am a sucker for) gives it richness..... well done....

Very different from your other work, but very lovely. I like this a lot my dear Helena.
Hope to see more of it. The colors are nice, the concept and mood and your beauty shines through the whole picture as always.

That's right, you haven't seen my green contacts yet...

AccosT In reply to intensely [2004-10-20 00:11:54 +0000 UTC]

WHAT??! Seriously you have green contacts! WAH! I want some! No no, I want those 8-ball contacts that have a tiny white cirlce with the number 8 in it like a pool table ball thing . Is it hard to see? I mean, yeah I know it only covers the iris but...

intensely In reply to AccosT [2004-10-20 06:04:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh no way, it's totally as if I were wearing clear contacts, not like there's a green tinge to everything . Some people get a bit freaked out by them though. My mum got them when she went to China on holidays, they last for up to 2 years and only costed $60.

That sounds really funky as well, but wouldn't the "8" in the middle cover the actual pupil?

I dont think i've seen many/any manipulations by you! I like the green/yellow tints in this, it gives it a very mystical feel, which i'm pretty sure was your intent

Well done!

This is gorgeous. The overlaying is beatiful and the colour choices are very appealing. the look on your face seems so satsfied, content. The mood of this is very warm and peaceful. thank you.

I love how this piece seems to provoke a mood beside that of the blatantly obvious .

... But do pretend it's not me just for now, for the sake of art .

I meant 'you' in the figurative sense, of course. You know, the way all artists become one with their subjects making every artisitc expression, regardless of the model, so very personal.

Um, yeah...

This is definitely interesting, i can't recall any other manipulation works done from you but this one is outstanding

intensely In reply to s-yl [2004-10-20 06:13:17 +0000 UTC]

I rarely do any manipulations but when I was a little younger, before I discovered photography, I use to immerse myself in digital art for my web design. Unfortunately, the extent of my skill is using different layers and blending effects *laughs*.

I'm honoured you like it, being such a digital art pro as yourself.
