Thanks. Glad you like it. I kept trying to get bright, happy colors into this one but the flame wasn't having any of that.

I know what you mean. Sometimes, bright and happy just doesn't cut it. Right now, I'm doing a lot of fractals that are fairly bright, soft and colorful. Not long ago, however, I was doing very cold, metallic, spidery things (in Fractal Explorer). I keep trying new looks to see whice one I like best.

Anyway, I like your compass, and think the colors look right for it.
