I never uploaded it because I'd tried to draw an adult RJ like you did here, but I hadn't decided on how he would look like in a different body, so his body just looks very... strange and un-RJ like, but maybe you'll like it? I'm at school, I'll upload it when I get home in about 30 minutes. O.O
Edited: Here Robot Shannon sketches no color 1 (2) I think this was literally the 2nd drawing I ever did of them, I wanna say late 2012 because I hadn't graduated high school yet.Β (Wanna know what really dates this? Iβve done a few tries on Shannon in the showβs style, but it never came out well. That, and drawing in my own established style is just more fun, and I donβt take drawing too seriously.
Drawing Robot in an adult body is admittedly difficult (something I assume we both agree on), I just try to avoid making his body look humanlike and whatnot.

Yeah, I was one of those kids that listened to her un-ironically when I was little. XD I was sort of listening to her music for nostalgia even when I drew this. Now I can't even listen to it as a good meme anymore, but I do still meme-listen to Backstreet Boys and N*Sync so IDK what that says about me. I've still been pretty into 80s music. I've been into it before, but somehow, RJ has gotten me to REALLY love 80s (and 70s) stuff now. There's some good 90s bands I like. There's this obscure one named Guided by Voices that I actually found through an RJ video.

Oh, yeah, I remember this song now! Yeah, this band is pretty cool, and the tone fits the show, even if the song came out a bit later than the show takes place. That's alright because sometimes I use '90s songs to help get the more grunge feel for RJ as well as '80s songs, because a lot of the first bands I think about when thinking about the '80s like Journey and Foreigner sound more '70s than '80s. In that same way, a lot of early '90s stuff fits RJ almost better.
I've been listening to that song on a loop help me... XD I found this band through this old CD commercial called Buzz Ballads, which was like a compilation of '90s light alternative rock hits. (And that lead me to find out I've got an obsession with this type of music). I also found this one radio station that plays '90s alternative once in a while, but it's usually the same songs all the time, like Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMLnYa⦠and stuff by Pearl Jam www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A4a3m⦠Oddly enough I get tired of stuff like Nirvana really quickly. When somebody shows me Nirvana I ask them about Stone Temple Pilots www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5UOC0⦠, which I think are a good substitution for that hardcore grunge stuff when the idea of listening to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" again makes me wanna bash my head in a wall.
All that stuff I usually can find on that one station or Pandora if I punch it in. I only ever hear stuff like the Verve Pipe and Dishwalla when I listen to them on my own iPod.
I also thought stuff like the Cranberries would fit into a Holly soundtrack. They're cool. Very breezy.

I use all sorts of songs to fit RJ. Mostly 80s songs, but I can find a lot of non-80s songs that fit wonderfully (including a lot of stuff from before the 80s)
I'm not too big on 90s grunge if you ask me, and I don't know if Guided by Voices is one of those bands (I'm assuming they are), but they're an exception because something about them makes their songs so damn catchy.
