Description "The sky is nearly like a canvas. Those clouds are like paint strokes across the horizon...yes those clouds right there. The hues and the colors can be the palette. I wish I could paint on the sky,"

Some conceptual art (i guess :/) For a story I plan on writing. About a teen, named joseph , who can manipulate the sky like it's a touch screen. He can manipulate and refract the light in the sky so as to make illusions of stars, the moon, and all the other astronomical objects. Or something like that, I haven't really worked it all out yet.

This was also an AP art peice of mine~ But it was so big i had to scan half and half on my scanner and put it togther on photoshop @____@

Surprisingly enough, (to you guys), This is some of my traditional art (Lolz i never upload that anymore XD) The whole thing was done with Prismacolor pencils and, Black and white ink. So tada C:

(*cough* I might have touched it up in photoshop o3o *cough*)

Hopefully you'll start seeing more of joseph around~

It's. . .it's. . .it's. . .so. . .so. . .*no words* Thid would so awesome on a wall. Like, a whole wall. Like a mural. . .only better.

That's a fresh idea for a story, too. I'd love to read it when you write it. (and if it's going to be a book, I'll buy it.)

But, the technology to control the sky like it's a touchpad is something I've never heard of. It sounds really cool.

pennydox In reply to IntoTheFrisson [2012-03-17 17:25:44 +0000 UTC]

ah...no. Well, maybe, depends on what you use to photograph. Sometimes you need a special light, or if it's a point-and-shoot one, you can take a polarized pair of sunglasses over the lens to adjust the light hitting the camera...whatever you're doing now is fine, as long as the surface isn't super reflective.

The light in my house sucks >___< So i guess i'll just have to settle with scanning it in parts and putting it together in photoshop Dx

never photograph in artificial light. Wait until 6am/6pm time and photograph for best lighting results from natural sunlight. Photographing indoors without proper white balance on camera makes pics usually look saturated and orange, and sometimes blurry as well.

Hmmmmm so it's better to go outside and photograph photos?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

pennydox In reply to IntoTheFrisson [2012-03-20 19:31:45 +0000 UTC]

yea probably. If you don't wanna you can do it next to a window, of course. If you could scan just two chunks of an image together on Photoshop without crazy weird color glares and such, you can keep doing what you want (horray for photomerge!). But sometimes pics are so huge you may need to scan them into more than 3 chunks, and that gets a bit crazy. Some pics, especially paintings, give off a bad glare or color change when the scanner does it. It happens with color pencil too, because of the waxy feel of the thing. I'm sure you don't have to do the 'art slides' like I had to in high school to send to the AP judge people or whoever the hell I sent it to, but you should at least be aware of things like lighting and basic photography before you start working big stuff. Just coz you draw doesn't mean you don't need to know other things as well.

This is absolutely stunning. The shades of purple along with the pink, the background, the different textures and the overall feel of the art itself is amazing. Really beautiful
I love the story behind it, it sounds extremely interesting, and the art is astounding
The stars really stand out in contrast to the soft background, but not too much to make it look like night, but enough to let us know that it's dawn/dusk. Gosh, do I love the stars, they make the image so...bubbly? I don't know the word, but it really the feel of the picture really reminds me of my childhood and looking at the sunset X3
Amazing job, it's very creative and I can't wait to see/read more!
