Here's a quick drawing of an original pony I did for a contest.

I kind of let this one create itself, you could say. I didn't know what the character was going to be like at all when I began. As it took shape, I couldn't help but come up with a vague backstory for him.

Maniacles lived long ago in ancient Equestria. Nopony before or since him has lived as much of their life as a blank flank. Maniacles went crazy performing random tasks for many years in an attempt to find his special talent. His intense resentment for ponies with cutie marks manifested itself in the unheard-of ability to steal cutie marks and use the associated talent.
