An entire class could tell a teacher that 2 + 2 = 7 but that doesn't make the answer any less wrong, the fact is that 2 + 2 still equals four

If the original creators of the symbol intended it to represent one thing, and a group of people came along and misunderstood it for the other, it doesn't make the symbol suddenly mean the opposite
That's not the creator's intentions at allΒ
Personally, if I were Troy or Joseph or Tim or whoever the hell came up with the symbol, I'd feel a little frustrated if someone came along and told me my symbol stood for the other teamΒ
Then again this is just my stupid opinion, and I understand that this is your OC and you can do whatever you want with it
I'm just suggesting the idea that maybe throwing the symbol on her clothes without knowing the canon symbolism of it might not be the best idea when the character itself is half SlenderbeingΒ

*sighs* i am thankful for the suggestion but everyone has a different view on the Operator symbol and I happen to be one who associates it to being marked by Slenderman, not the other way around.
I am a little fusterated personally because people keep telling me on how I should change Ally or her design, especially with the Operator symbols on them.

The canon of your speaking of is not really even the main canon, rather, just a story based off of slender man. Like many myths and fairytales each story will have their own adaptation and interpretation, creepy pastas are no different. What do you may see as Canon or true another person may see as false.Β
Each and every person will have their own interpretation of the creepy pasta universe, or the slender universe, as some like to call it, but no one is either right or wrong. The canon you speak of, like I said before, it's not the main Canon nor is it actually true. The Slender man myth has many different versions, and some have the symbol that Masky supposedly created, is the symbol of the proxies who work for Slender Man.

I don't have any interpretation on the Creepypasta universe, and I realize that almost everything is non canon. I'm talking about the symbol, and Marble Hornets, which have nothing to do with Creepypasta. The symbol actually first originated from Marble Hornets. Not Masky, but Hoodie used it when leaving notes to Tim/Masky or Jay.Β
Brian/Hoodie works against the Slenderman, this is why his symbol is in fact canon by him. He was the very first to use it.
Creepypasta fans came along, and when the symbol was first depicted the theory that Hoodie and Masky were proxies of the Slenderman were still around, so they starting passing it around and the origin got lost as time went by.Β
Slenderman could have an eyeball in his ass and a southern accent for all we know. Not all CP characters or any Slender things may not have a canon story, but the symbol does.

While that is a fair point, you must understand that things get lost in translation, and at this point people will not really take your word for it. What I'm trying to get you to see, is that the Symbol is just like another story and got lost in translation or was changed. If anything marble hornets is about the Slender universe ((although I still don't understand why people consider Creepypasta and slender stuff separate when its been crossover a lot)), and thus the fans just decided to use it as symbol like you said, probably not even fully seeing the series ((I know have yet to yet)). This is not really something to worry about UNLESS it was already apart of slender lore before Marble Hornets, then it would need to be spread as it would be a vital piece of information.
Taking something from just another myth and changing it is nothing really bad or wrong, persay, things might have gotten lost in translation but oh well. Hell writers of novels take stuff from Greek mythology and change some things around a lot, and some people don't intentionally speak of stories I mean Aphrodite came from Uranus' severed ballsack, nobody knows about that though and that doesn't really hurt them XD. If nobody knows about the original origin of the symbol, tis a shame I suppose, but considering we also have adaptations of Masky and Hoodie still being loyal to Slender, I think that symbol can be used as another meaning.Β
Marble Hornets isn't considered canon though, unlike the severed ballsack thing, and thus fans will tend to ignore it, they don't all have the same ideas and thoughts on certain things in the Creepypasta realm. So, I don't really think its worth your time to try to to correct a whole fanbase, especially with how large it is and not to mention some will get rather angry and disgusted at you for trying to correct them. I think you should just let it be and let people discover on their own, it is after all another interpretation of something. Or maybe make journals about it, its a good way to get information out there if you are really wanting people to know about it, would be easier than going page to page/door to door and commenting about it XD
