Artist's Training Grounds Alumni Group - Week 5 - Draw a Pony Shocked.

Braeburn? Burnt? Braeburn-t, eh? eh? Yeah, that was pretty bad. Deviantart needs to let me have longer titles, then this thing would have been called "Wadda Mean Appleoosa Is only OKAY!?"

I was going to do more socks, but looking through all of this weeks entries so far, I realized no one had drawn one of the best background ponies who has the single greatest in-show shocked expression, Braeburn. From the scene in Over a Barrel, about 8 minutes in (8:04 to be exact) when his brain just absolutely full-stop breaks. It's made all the better by him just standing there, his eye twitching, for a solid ten seconds while everypony yells at him. I love Braeburn, he's another background pony that doesn't get enough love.

And as such, there goes his mind, as something inconcievably shocking has happened, and he drifts off into whatever happy place he wanders into when hearing horrific news. Probably just learned of the price increase on Apple Smoothies that I hear has been causing such turmoil 'round these parts. So danged hot over in Appleoosa, I can imagine that hearing of such a devastating price gouge would be pretty shocking.

Either that, or it's Braeburn's rage face when he hears 'Over a Barrel' isn't most people's favorite episode. "It was wild-west themed, and we had a whole battle scene, the Train, okay, Pinkie Pie's Dance may have been a bit disturbing... But What do You Ponies Want From ME!"
