nice interesting placement of detail around the edge of the picture plane. It gives the bare floor a sense of being one of the objects in the picture, the main object perhaps. It give the floor a sense of importance and makes you think that there is something about it and wonder 'why are we looking at the floor'. Keeping it down to very dark detail of one color against the grayish floor really helps to balance and unify your image and to empahsize the design.
