Description
A monastic community is defined also by their state of remaining in one place, as a community united in prayer, and waiting for the Lord's return (cf. Matthew 25:13).The picture shows the apse of the abbey church of Maria Laach. Christ defines himself by the open book in his hand: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life."
