Taken at the same time as [link]I only recently noticed the significance of the three figures walking down the middle of the wharf: On the left wearing red, on the right blue and the one in the centre wearing white (all reflecting the sky above). A number of people remarked that the previously submitted image was like a path through life and these three guys seem (to me) to take that symbolism a little further.

When I first looked at this image, i was dissapointed with the three figures. A landscape (by definition) has to be devoid of human prescence. If there's people in the scene, the photo then becomes a social commentary, which iften becomes awkward becuase the photo wants to be a landscape. This is not the case here, although the three charectors are small in the frame, they are the central point of placement and therefore the photo is all about them. The leading lines draw the viewer into the three charectors, which asks the question....who are they? Where are they going and why so patriotic colours?
