Description

A3 Gouache. 8h in one go.

Staying at home (as if I didn't for last 5 years...)

And it is 3cm of SNOW outside in the middle of April... Which is strange even for Russia. yep

Anyway since I have some stock of paint. Why not to draw something i wanted long ago.

This image from intro of Proper People YouTube channel.

Some free interpretation. As some probably know i love abandoned stuff, rust/moss/algae and scrap plus some sunshine and distant fog.

  Gimme moar.

The buildings on the left needed a ruler.  This is almost perfect.

Everything here needs ruler >w<

Made it freehand, using something other than brush feels bit restraining.

Since I'm mostly digital artist- traditional art for me exactly to feel a bit more free.

Maybe couple of such paintings will help my shaky hands.

Thank you! lost some details in front foliage.

Leafs actually have same detalisation as building but...

For A4 using scanner, but for this A3 I have to use my zenfone2's camera.

I added a bit more grass and moss here and there to make it older.

As well as some warm sunlight and blue tint and glow to distant leafs to make it look like something from memories.

Abandonment geographies are a treat for anyone with the taste to enjoy them. There are mining facilities near my town, not this level, but still, you can find old towers literally eaten by trees, moss and grass...

Sounds cool, source of inspiration at close reach.

Most of such location near me being demolished and rebuilt. =-=

Maybe, maybe not? I mean, i took my time to find what was around my own house. Sometimes, a walk of twenty minutes from home can make you discover some things you could never imagine...

The twist is remembering what places you hadn't explored yet.

Remembering the places you did explore is easy, not so much with the contrary XD

Nuh, small city, wheat fields around and not much more.

I see. That's sad. It's in moments like that, that you need to take a train or a bus to reach newer places.

Once this coronacrap is controlled, try to find any affordable trip to any place high (mining hills, far away half forgotten village... things like that). You'll recognize the old places by the smell (old places always smell humid XD).

Those places are inspiring for me. At least, i have the habit of writing stories set in abandoned towns, rural villages far from cities, or outskirts... seriously, i don't know what to do with cities XD
