Another commission done for !This one gave me a bit of a challenge in certain parts, but was still a fun experience

That face is just beautiful. I love the scale work, especially around the eyes - gives the character so much personality. Plus you're adding all these stunning BGs. The stars behind them that fade into the sunset/sunrise was such a great touch in contrast.

Oooh thank you so much! Scales can be a pleasure to work with! I wanted to definitely try my hand more at backgrounds when i can. I still need lots of practice and study time, but im glad it still came out alright.

My pleasure! Sometimes that small repetitive work of scales and feathers can be quite therapeutic! And I hear ya! Been practicing and focusing a lot more on BGs lately myself as they're one of my weak points and I kinda need them to illustrate scenes, lol. Definitely worth all the effort when you see how it brings a whole piece together.

I like the energy that you have about all of this. A lot of the time artists of your caliber get their head to far up their ass. Stay the way you are as long as you can, such an approach is such a rarity.

I'm just simply thankful for the chance in all this. For me not to appreciate these things... Well I'd be taking it for granted. I enjoy and love art. Recently in my life Ive been given this rare opportunity to actually devote some time to doing this sort of stuff. Its been a dream. And I'm happy with it. Id hate to be anything other than grateful. Thank you so much though.

Finally, I am here. I have no idea why it takes me so long to comment these days. It annoys me and I need to get better.
Honestly, I think this one is my favorite of the little trilogy of pictures I commished. I think it may have to do with the background and familiarity of Serthal. That scar is still great, and I love how it turned out. Very noticeable and off-putting, as it should be. He looks calm; maybe he did what he accomplished to do.
Just...the details man. You need more exposure.
