I think a lot of people (me included) feel that way sometimes...

wonderful. there's a real feel of being way up high, trapped in more ways than one. and it's a painting on top of it. excellent job!

Thank you!

Wow, I'd love to do some portrait shots of you-you have that look! I recently did a series of portraits of some friends (and a few of strangers)-

The final image represented various aspects of their personality, so there are posed and candid shots.

Alas...

Take care.

lol! my husband is also a photographer and he's always trying to get me to be his model everytime he buys something new and wants to test it out. but i don't like pictures of myself, which is quite funny that i'm my own model. but i do quite a lot of "fixing" in photoshop so somehow i end up being okay with it.

...well that was quite long winded...

My wife is also a photographer/artist.

I've always wondered about photographers who are also models-how do you frame the shots so well? Trial and error? Do you go thru a laptop or something that you can see while you're posing?

well, i take a picture and then look at the little screen on the back of the camer to see how it looks. adjust however i need to. but i tend to take 75-100 pictures. sometimes less. but that way i know i'll get at least one that works.

this is great... it literally gave me a chill. The title and the whole" trapped" thing's got some strong emotion...

i wish i could paint...

Thank you! Appreciate the comment. Why not give painting a try? There's a lot of us on here who would love to help a fellow artist out! Or if you tried and it just didn't work for you, give it another try with some friendly suggestions from folks here ("How do I start", "What do I need", etc.)

this is really quite brilliant...

its like he suffers to be in the spotlight, but he cant see that his suffering is for nothing...

ACH i love it!

Another great piece......very macabre but full of colour.......mixed messages aswell, the ray of light, does it signify a breath of hope or the way out ?.....Or is it an invitation to die ?.....Such hopelessness with his hand being tied......

Great work mate.....

It wouldn't be art if I could interpret it correctly eh?

Many artists take secrets like that to the grave, or write them in their epitaph...

Respect and garlic....

The light is purposely NOT shining on the figure for a couple of reasons-it's part of the idea of being trapped in something and no one seems to care-that apathy is represented by the light NOT shining on the figure, but also has a double meaning of he sees himself as a freak, but others do not necessarily see him that way, so the light of self-importance is not shining on him like he things it is.

I like your interpretation, however, especially the way out. Thank you.

Makes you think...(at least, makes me think), I like the way this can be interpreted differently by each person who sees it.
