very nice shot. I actually know exactly what kind of pencil this is, actually, based on the shavings, haha. It's my favorite to do preliminary sketches and light shading with. I think it works better than most hard led pencils. ^_^

Great shot...I never think about how textures of things look so close up....the yellow paint looks very glossy. The shaving looks like a piece of art all on its own.

Thank you, Angel-Soul. I appreciate the comment. I live for macro shots-only reason I bought a Canon EOS 20D, although this was actually taken with a Nikon 950, which has an incredible macro lens built in).

I really like these kind of photographs. The ones of everyday things that so many people just look over, but if they were to just stop and look at them, they'd see art. I love it!
