Lightboxes are sweet. To get the circular effect, I had to cut a hole in a piece of poster board, then put it under the diffused glass to soften the edge (if anyone was wondering).

Mmm, touchable and blue^^

what made you think to take a shot of this? It's very good, just not something I'd come up with

Well, I love macro shots, I love light, I had a light box, some beads laying around, it just all came together! I love mundane subjects (like my pencil and slinky and the clamps from my shop). Thanks for the comment, shianra!

Sure, go ahead and grab a few Don't know why, but I love just pushing my hand through hundreds of these beads, grabbing a handful, and pouring them back. I'm so weird.

Thanks for the comment.

No that's not weird! I used to go to rock and gem shows and they had trays and traaaaaaaaaaaays of polished rocks and pebbly things and beads and I loved running my hands through them!!!

very nice, the beads look great, and the angle is good to, makes it more interesting than just a straight-on shot of the beads.

the beads look electric, very nice.

was the light table round? i was just wondering how you did the shadow/black area on the right hand side. it's good, i think it focuses your attendtion to the beads.

do you have some yellow & red beads i reckon a similar thing with a couple more colours would be cool too.

Thank you! The light table was rectangular but I used a circular cutout to achieve the round light effect.

I thought about doing a red and green version for RGB actually. Of course I could just open in Photoshop and use Hue/Saturation to change it that way.

yes, you could photoshop it, i was thinking more of having all 3 colours in the one photo, have like 3 separate bags each with a different primary colour in it and overlap them a little.

Ah, so THAT'S your name

Yes, I saw it and you're right it does look better. How do you think it would look if you cropped it closer to the figure? Just curious. Now the white is almost too strong because there's so much of it, LOL! Takes away from your, um, assets a bit.
