Looks great.
I wonder about the dirt and grunge fetish that 3d modelers have.
How many military or civilian organizations are going to allow their
vehicles to look dirty/scratched or dented?

Yeah, I've said that for years-people become obsessed with dirtying up 3D (yes, if a vehicle is out in the field for days or months on end, it's going to be dirty, even filthy-I completely understand that).
But it's been well documented that tank commanders cleaned their vehicles every chance they got in the field (meaning when they got near a water supply!) so there are times when a vehicle ISN'T caked in mud.
Still, I think a vehicle feels better if it has some dirt and grime on it, and one of these days, I'll do that to this vehicle.
Thanks for your comments!

I was wondering about that.
Depending on the situation, the vehicle could be clean or dirty.

Suweet...that's awesome!! I still can't believe that someone could create something like that! It's so amazing, all the little details you put into it. I really love all your detail work. ^__^

I love details (in my paintings, drawings, and 3D). Appreciate it!

Well, you notice the driver is nowhere to be seen? He's off screen taking a leak!

Neat render! The vehicle looks like it's fresh off the showroom floor...so whoever is taking a leak must be on his first adventure in it! I love how sharp the objects look..and how the mountains are hazy in contrast. Your grass is really "real."

Or, he keeps it very clean and hoses it down, like they did to WW2 tanks after a battle.

A very very good render, the attention to detail is far beyond most of what I have seen on dA

Thanks-the reality is, I haven't modeled a figure yet, so I knew someone would ask where's the driver-thus the title!

Excellent work!!! Don't get burnt out, your work is great, I've seen that a lot. In fact I'm guilty of it too. Take a break, do some sketches. Relax, your talent is'nt going anywhere.

Hey, thanks for the advice! I try to mix it up between 3D, Photoshop, and traditional art (drawing and painting) so I DON'T get burned out. Thanks for the comment!

The grass is pretty cool, i just think you should add some textures to the vehicle, make it more dirty to look less plastic.

Thanks and yeah, that's the general comment I get from most people (texturing). I spent so long on this I got burned out before I got to the texturing part, so I left it as is. Come to think of it, that's been happening with me more and more lately...
