The landscape is a fractal made with Apophisys, and the light cycle is made on Bryce
Photoshop was used only to blend them.

This artwork is certainly very detailed. How long did it take you to make this?

ivanraposo In reply to QuantumInnovator [2010-09-05 03:38:17 +0000 UTC]
2 hours to render the background on Apophisys, 30 min to render the 3d model and 30 minutes to blend both in photoshop.
Thanks a lot for the visit

So true my friend. By today standards this movie is obsolete in the design techniques, but back when it was released it was so ahead of it's time that I could not stop watching it. I guess that is how technology advances!

If you like pc games, try the game (Tron 2.0), it was made like a sequel to the movie, but as 1st person game - Really addicting - Lots of the things of the movie has taken to the game, and new stuff like e-mails and networking were added.

Concordo contigo na escolha (Tenho gostado bastante de trabalhar com imagens em "retrato"... Meio que sai da mesmice dos papΓ©is de parede)
