This is my submission for jarks contest. I have worked long and hard on them... and I don't mind working even harder. There are still several days left in which I can perfect my icons. I have taken a peek at several of the entries... many of them are very good. I would like to be even better. I went for simple, clean and animated. Some of the animation is rough,,, I will hopefully be able to smooth some of it out. I'm working with a broken program that renders them not quite correctly. Any thoughts, comments or whatevers will be greatly appreciated.I'll be submitting this correctly, in a few days to give me time to tidy them up.

ok umm...1. does not look like jark. the eyes are all wrong. 2. he has a brown strap. 3. his probe doesnt drag down to the other side of his body...all u are suposed to see is the handle. 4. his eyes dont chat no matter what mood..

This was for a contest long ago that is long since over, so unfortunately I will not be revisiting the submission at all. The aim was to reinvent "Jark the yellow alien". So the fact that his strap, handle and eyes are slighly different than the normal rendition of Jark is ok.
Thank you for your critque. I do appreciate critisism, but, your delivery technique can be improved. You may want to have a look at [link] Pay close attention to the bullet points in step four.
You may also want to think about using the "Comment Sandwich" technique. Try to always sandwich negitive critisism with with positive critisism to make your critique less offensive. Having negitive things to say is always fine, but making yourself seem like someone who can't see the good in things will only make people want to discount your suggestions.

Was to make him a new icon with the spicific task of putting our own style and flare in it.
