Her "dress" is actually part of her body. They're scales with a different color than her "skin" which is similar to that of a dolphin. Her "ribs" are gills that she breathes with while her "nose" is more like a shark's fin. She swims using her eel tail and can use her human legs on land although she can't be out of the water for long because her body starts to dry up and shrivel and she has trouble breathing above the ocean surface. Her staff is like a trident; it can pierce the enemy and use magic. The sails on it are similar to the ones on her "tail" as they minimize drag to allow faster and more aerodynamic movement underwater.

I had fun designing her and I hope *rites-of-passage uses her even if my entry doesn't win or the contest is cancelled due to lack of entries.
