So, I haven't submitted anything for a good long while and most of the things I'm working on right now (commissions and portfolio work, if you're curious( I won't really be able to share, so I thought I'd upload my personal designs for some of the Lost Continent characters. I started an illustration with some of them in it and really struggled with it, because not only was I drawing a pretty complex background, I was designing the characters from scratch, too! So I sat down and did designs for Blue, Luna, Sundew and Cricket (although I won't be sharing the latter two for a few weeks because I'm busy and they're still sketches); hopefully, I'll be able to get to Swordtail and some of the more minor characters soon.

Anyway, this is Blue! His colours are pretty much exactly the same as the cover, so his design isn't all that groundbreaking or anything. I headcanon Blue as being a lot shorter than his sister, Luna, and around the same height as Cricket. I imagine SilkWing 'wingbuds' to be like flowers before they bloom! They get bigger the closer to their cocooning day, and on that day they start to unfurl a little and you can see some of the colours inside that your wings will be! And yes, I draw the wings a lot differently than in canon, because wing fingers + butterfly wings = ???. I hope you guys like my version of Blue!

I'd also absolutely adore it if you guys wanted to use my designs for these characters! (Although tag me if you do because I'd LOVE to see.)
