man ur good, can u help me out. Im working on a comic at the moment and would like to know your process of getting comic panel pages to work with. Do you make them yourself or do you use a templaye? Also, what is your method of inking?

Hey man, sorry I didn't get back to you about the inking methods. Basically I use a brush (raphael #3, or #2, but i prefer the 3, the difference is the 3 is a finer point and for me it is easier to get a variation of line) and I use crow quill nibs(dip pens), if you go to an art store these look like caligraphy pens with interchangable heads. And there really is a bunch of these pens and sizes and they all have different effects it just is up to you which ones you like so i would reccomend just buy all of em because they are really cheap, you could probably get all the ones they make for like maybe 15 bucks. I use Pelikan ink for both brush and pens, even though there are probably quite a few people who use Pelikan for just the pens because it is very thin and doesn't clog up the pen, and use a thicker ink for the brush, this is up to you. Just pick up some india ink, in the smallest bottles you can find and experiment. Thats the basic stuff though, It might sound like a lot, but it's not that bad trust me.

here's some links for the stuff just so you know what you're lookin for...

Dick blick is a great place, the brushes here are like half off what you would find them anywhere else, thats pretty much it, Hopefully that didn't fry your brain! Just check out the links and at least pick up a number 2 brush, some pelikan ink, the speedball 20 general purpose set and the number 5 set. That'll give you a taste of most the options, then you can go pick up some more nibs if you feel. So there ya go man, knock yourself out! This isn't nearly as complicated as I made it all sound I promise!
