The detail of the building is exceptionally clear. The use of the archway to frame a distant landscape is eye-catching and effective. The ruined state of the towers allows the viewer to appreciate them in a way that intact towers wouldn´t - that greatly increases the attraction of the image. The trees and grass complement the towers while the sky adds heaviness - it avoids romanticising the towers. The care you took is evident and effective. (I have to mention that the towers lean noticeably to the right - it is so difficult to get towers vertical). The overall impact of the image is strong. It is ideal for those who want historical monuments recorded honestly, revealingly and memorably.

Very interesting.  I love how you can see the interior of this particular ruin.  I've often lamented that very few castles seem to be fully documented (measured, photographed, floor plans drawn, etc). This is the next best thing.

I don't think I've ever seen a castle made of bricks, either.
