it's beautiful! I Thought it was a flipped Belgian flag in thumbnail
I especially like what I see as 'a bending woman in a red dress' on the right, 'her face obscured by a text balloon'.

There's so much story in each of your paintings you hardly need to link them to that premise!
This one, for example, has some of the allegorical qualities of "The Big O and the Missing Piece" by
Shel Silverstein, but it's much richer than his little book. In this piece, I see a story about love,
nurture, gender relations, compassion, loneliness, longing, alienation, religion, doubt, rejection... It's tragic, with
elements of tender and bitter humor. All this would need is a slightly evocative title to steer me in
some narrative direction, whereas the story in the link felt very constrained, subordinating the paintings
to a narrative structure that was much smaller than each painting achieved all on its own. Perhaps a
simpler mixed-media pairing of some text with a single painting would be more evocative? Or a
mixed-media collaboration, in which you work with text provided to you or vice-versa.
In any case, your images are powerful on their own.
Cheers!
