Description
For those of you who played the Mata Nui Online game way back in the day, you may remember that each village on the island had a symbol to represent its element. I just recently created symbols for the ten elements that were added since then on an iPad that I borrowed from my local library.fire: flames
air: a rising air current
water: a sea current
stone: a rock
earth: this symbol represents what is beneath the ground
ice: a snowflake
plasma:an aurora (like the northern lights)
plant life: a tree
shadow: this symbol represents a darkened sun
lightning: a lightning bolt
light: rays of sunlight
magnetism: two supposedly metal objects that are magnetically stuck together
psionics: this is what i imagine psionic energy looks like
iron: a toa
sonics: a sound wave
gravity: an object floating above the ground

I might steal these, I love [most] of them. Although I'm not crazy about magnetism, plant life, and iron.
Attached find my ideas for these three.
Magnetism: I think there are stronger ways of communicating repulsion and attraction. The first idea that popped into my head was a visual representation of the attaction/repulsion as opposed to the end result. I dunno.
Iron: I'm not sold on the Toa symbol. I don't know anything about the iron element in the franchise, but I thought of earth and drilling...so that's where my concept came from.
Plant-life: I have to say it, but it looks like the lower half of the female anatomy? How about a leaf on its side? Works for me.
I like gravity, but I think it would be cool to have the small dot immediately above the large dot, which is above the ground, representing the "closer to earth" you get, the more weight you have.
Don't be discouraged! These are great. But the graphic designer in me likes to take over sometimes

I gotta say, i wasnt too keen on a Toa design either for Iron, but, since these guys are biomechanical i figured the symbolism worked pretty well.
I feel like your version of the Magnetism symbol is a bit reminiscent of Sonics. Perhaps magnetic field lines would be better?
as for Plant Life, every time i drew a leaf it felt really cheesy so i went with a tree design. I really like your leaf though. Its kinda elegant yet simple. I may use it in the project i'm working on!
