This is for the comic I will hopefully make someday

in my world there are many different races, including mer’s (mermaids), humans, and one I have not worked out yet. Yes my world has magic. The humans don’t like stuff that has anything to do with magic. Including magical creatures, the race I have not figured out yet, and what they call “devilfish”. They do like mer’s tho. “Devilfish” are just mer’s that have horns and sharp teeth, but the humans don’t know that and treat them like monsters.
Every Mer has the ability to shift into their human form, so they can breathe air instead of water. Mer’s with horns have a tradition of piercing their horns and putting large gold rings through them, like how humans pierce their ears.
