In this case the bird cooperated which was nice. One challenge is to get the exposure right especially with darker birds.

Wow, it's an excellent shot! It must be pretty hard to photograph birds.. I prefer photographing my tortoise who's not moving as fast as birds

It wasnโt so much luck as it was persistence and luck. I had noticed that this guy was hunting in this location for a couple of days so I set up in my car, waited hours and took over a hundred pictures of him. This was one of the few that were worth saving.
What lens are you using?

I use a compact camera as I can take it everywhere and use it all the time.
