This is very beautiful, I'm in love with your work! I love the beauty and the seriousness or concentration of the man's face. It's very interesting, the complexity and the beauty are captivating.
But I do wonder, those are too think a stroke for a finger's width, so it looks as if retouched with a brush or something. Anyway, if that's you, you're handsome and I like your eye

hey sorry for replying so late, this painting took me the best part of a day to 2 days, I tend to work quite fast because I apply the paint with my hands and do not use brushes at all-at least for this painting)
I used a photograph as reference but only loose reference as I wasn't trying to copy or imitate the photo if you get what I mean. I'm pleased with it. I actually sold it which in a way I regret doing because I think this one was definately one if not my favourite

thanks and yeah I use acrylics because I feel like the colours stay bright and dry faster (also a lot less toxic on the hands!) I saw some of your work and I like it you are a good drawer

What do you mean by handpainting? Is it painted without brushes but with your hands? I was far too lazy to read all of those comments and see if this has been brought up already. I cant imagine you will reply though, nobody ever does when they have daily deviations...

You look like John Linnell of They Might Be Giants(just look him up in the wikipedia if you don't know)...! Perhaps a bit of Abe Lincoln, too.
To me, the colors look like feathers. If you touch the picture, it seems like the skin would be plush, but sun-kissed, so it would fluff back up if you press your hand down onto the mat of feathers that actually are your [hand]paintstrokes.
I could stare into the eye of this man forever. His soul seems so calm and carefree because he's always thinking.
