Description

New from FletchAir the 2063 SkyRay. SkyRay is a flying floating home for one to four families. Utilising the latest "UFO" technology, SkyRay can take off and land vertically and hover indefinitely without producing any pollution or noise. It features a large forward facing two level saucer  section. The top has a glass dome allowing 360 degree views and is also ideal for star watching.

In this near future world, war, poverty, organised religion and centralised governments are becoming distant memories as we exit the world of scarcity and fear and enter the world of abundance and spiritual and scientific enlightenment. Visas, passports and money no longer exist. The world has become highly culturally diverse and yet entirely unified. Open, peaceful contact now exists between people of earth and people from other worlds and dimensions. It is indeed the beginning of a new golden era of peace and space exploration.

SkyRay is available now for limited or indefinite lease. No money is required. Contact FletchAir.org.moonbase9

Well, all you have to do is make it solid yet light enough for flying, then find a way to break the surface tension of the water. That being the strongest factor to stop it from taking off vertically.

A Cat. by the look of it, or at least I don't think it's a SWATH. The amazing thing about a SWATH is that even in the roughest sea, it remains pretty level, unlike a Cat. which has similar traits, but less so.

A bit peculiar that the only way to, let's say, go from the 01 level veranda at the aft of the ship, to the main deck aft, would be to walk all the way forward, to then walk all the way aft. If you had made it a little differently, you could have made an easy way to go from the 01 level to the main deck by walking a much shorter distance outside (aside from any inclined ladders, natch).

Always a pleasure to see your creativity

Thanks for your interesting and constructive comments. I'm going to draw and post pictures of SkyRay from different angles to show how the deck circulation works. The aft of the craft is hidden from view in this picture. But rest assured that all will become clear.
this craft has different operating modes while on the sea, that range from free floating (toss and turn) to anti-gravity augmented stabilisation on a sliding scale. Of course it can simply float silently in the air above the sea level for indefinite periods.

I don't think there's a need to redraw it, but as you like.

I was simply trying to point out that cats and SWATHs are inherently stable water-craft usaboatreview.com/archives/200…

I already planned a series of drawings external and internal views. Also when I read your first message I researched SWATH marine technology on Google. It was really interesting and useful. I thank you.

Beautiful, but you'd never get me on a curvy deck like that.  Future no-slip coatings or not.

Thanks, good point. Some people who are not the seafaring sort would probably feel seasick just looking at it.

Not even from the point of seasickness.  A flat deck can be unstable enough in rough seas, a curved one seems like it'd be so much worse.

True, although this particular yacht has anti-gravity. If it gets too uncomfortable it can hover completely level a few meters (or up to 3500m) above the waves.
