yes I think maybe you have a point, but I wanted the subtle details of the small hairs to be something that was noticed after closer observation rather than jumping out straight away

M'kay. I meant more the firey parts. They would seem more intense with a slightly darker background. But then again the other parts ar quite dark so I don't know if it's a great solution.
The big hot round part to the right, were your source of inspiration an eye or cigarette-lighter (the ones in the cars), or perhaps something entirely different?
Anyway, you use your inspiration quite effectively I must say, but not as frequent as I'd prefer. I want to see more dammit! ^_^

yes I do see what you mean about the firey parts - for my next piece i will make the background darker!
Its not based around anything from life especially apart from the suggestion of insect forms...

The design is awesome. Original and intriguing. I find myself exploring for more details ^_^ I'd like to see it with a different background color though..Some of the intense parts aint brung forth by the background.
