Entry to 's contest. I wanted to doodle something and her contest journal was there, and shes a friend of mine so I thought why not. This is also kind of an entry to her coloring contest too I guess since I invented her color scheme, but I'm not using her example drawing so I guess not.I apologize for the tacky background, but like I said, this was a doodle and I didn't have an idea of where she was or the will to draw a bg so I'm afraid she gets a squiggle. Its better than filter clouds anyway...

She's cute!
Why not make her hair copper or silver? Something less organic; the humany brown looks nice, but it also clashes slightly with her metal body.

I was thinking it was wire, you know, like insulated wire? So I colored it brown because her hair is brown... but I dont know what color's she's gonna choose for her final design

That piece of refuse was NOT a disney movie. It was by a company called Blue Sky out in New York and it was a terrible terrible movie. not that Disney has been doing much better. Chicken Little was a terrible movie as well

I like the contrast of the unsharpened, free-hand design -- which, I assume, is the "doodle" you're apologizing for -- against the sharply defined figure. Her pose in a way echoes the style of the background zigzag; I wonder if you did that subconsciously? It's altogether something quite different from you, and shows a maturing look. (Not that your usual unique and appealing loose style isn't mature, don't get me wrong!)
While I must confess I'm amused on how you bounce around contests to earn free subscriptions -- that's the right attitude, btw, for a resourceful artist! -- I applaud you for picking goals which are having you stretch your style and theme. A great way to learn, indeed! Too bad we can't earn college credits this way, eh?

Absolutely, if I could get paid in either credit or dollar for showing up at people's houses and drawing them random pictures that take about an hour from start to finish, I'd have my future in the bag
