The words are mine. The drawing is not mine, but when i saw it...I fell in love with it. It's such a bad-ass picture of Optimus. It looked like Optimus was flipping someone off. And, really, more than Megatron, who needs to be flipped off by Optimus Prime? You guessed it. Michael "I'm Ruining Transformers" Bay. Seriously. Fuck you, Michael Bay. FLAMES? on OPTIMUS PRIME?! If he wanted shitty-looking flams on him, he'd change his name to Optimus McGay-ass and hang out around Bay Manor.I'm sorry, Bay's Optimus looks like shit. Megatron looks even worse...assuming such a thing is possible.
And I don't want to hear any, "But, James...sometimes it's good to refresh the image of...blah blah blah". Whatever. That's fucking bullshit. (90% of the people who would go see this movie are like me: They want to see Generation 1 Transformers (Not "Beast Wars", not "Transformers: Armada") duking it out on the big screen. INSTEAD, we're going to get shitty-designed techno-organic-looking ass-postules running around the screen.
Rally 'round Big Bot, my friends. He does not deserve the "Pimp My Ride" treatment this upcoming movie has given him. So I slapped this together hastily while I'm trapped here at work and seething over new pictures I've come across for the movie.
God, i fucking hate you, Michael Bay.

I thought that the purpose of the autobots' vehicle modes was so that they could "blend in". How the heck do you blend in when you're painted like a racing truck?! Anyway, maybe there's a good explanation for all the crap - we just have to watch the movie.
Here's looking forward to July 4, 2007. Hope to see you all at the theaters, and the Michael Bay hate rallies and lynch mobs, etc. Hehe...

holy crap~ since i've been busy i didn't know they were doing that, i mean when i heard about the movie i thought "OMFG! yay!".

I don't even know who Michael Bay nor did i see any of those movies -.-;~ lucky me..What i usually watch are cartoons and anime.

Whoever designed the "new and improved" Transformers need to be shot in the head with Megatron. Flames on Prime...:angry: and did you happen to see Starscream? He looks worse than Megatron. Oh, and why they're coming from Mars and not Cybertron in the new movie is beyond me...
Anyway, I love what you did with this. I can so imagine him saying this after seeing his "better" look.

Being a recent "convert" to Transformers fandom, I don't know what else to add here. (But I'm going to open my big mouth anyway, even if I end up swallowing my foot.)
I do love the classic looks of the G1 characters -- they bring back nostalgic memories. And I'm a purist -- if they're going to do a remake, a movie based on a book, or a movie based on a TV series, they'd BETTER stay true to the source! So to hear that Prime *salutes Big Guy* and Megatron and all their ilk are getting the "Queer Eye" makeover (though maybe it's more like "Pimp My Ride" makeover in their case) riles me big time.
At least they're sticking to original voices...
Michael Bay? Michael "Rock-Island-Badboys-Armageddon" Bay? THAT Bay? Shoot me now! (I think Spielburg would have done a good Transformers movie, but then I'm slightly biased there...)

Great job btw JamesRiot. Captures the essence of the character with just the right touch of modernity. Nice detailing on the hands. And no f'ing flames!

I've heard a bunch of stuff about the movie and people talking about how things are going to look and I'm completely and utterly disappointed. I've seen none of the pictures or anything, but I trust what fans say. And they are adamant, my friend. Adamant. It's going to be crap. I hear ya, buddy. I feel your pain. ^_^

Bumble Bee is no longer a Bug either, you can add that to your list of hate and savagery. I know I will be. I didn't know he got flames though! The hell is going on here?! Even in armada or Cybertron story archs they never would have done that to Optimus, this is just blatent disrespect. Horrible.

oh fuck man, i agree. when i saw optimus with flames i flipped my fucking lid. maybe if he was just a regular looking semi. y'know...black cab or something. red, blue, what the hell ever. but not flames....why flames? unless it was silver pinstripes down a black cab, that would look cool. but only if it spelt out "fuck you micheal bay" down his right leg when he transformed....
