Description The original lineart for this picture is by ~ALKEMANUBIS [link] . Isn't it awesome!?

Bow brushes by =Luvelia [link] .

This is my first digital coloring! I'm using Gimp and I really don't know what I'm doing.

Still struggling with the background and simplifying the coloring process. Like, I can bucket fill and then hand-color the borders where it isn't flush with the lines, or I can clean up the lines with an eraser and then color-fill. I get pretty much the same result either way. But both are tedious and take too long! Lasso has not been my friend, so I don't like to fill that way at this point.

I did the lavender-colored spaces by first coloring with the pink color, avoiding the lines, and then I filled those areas with the lavender, creating the effect shown. I thought it was pretty cool, but I wish I could get a more realistic and shaded look.

If anyone would like to do a Gimp tutorial for coloring, I would love them forever!

I plan on using my finished coloring for a new ID. I have already gotten permission from the artist and I'm so excited!

Cool. The eyes in that look easy enough. I am just starting digital coloring, so I haven't quite gotten a good technique down. I suppose I can still use gradients with this technique, only first I create a pupil area and an iris area, right?
