i can't help feeling reminded of lem's "solaris" - if you've ever read that book you'd probably know what i mean... absoutely stunning work again, jan - as all the others i've seen during this visit to your gallery...

oh, i think it's the most popular book of lem, and it's quite creepy... lem being one of the few SCIENCE fiction authors i've read... i've read many of his books, most of them have scary components that keep haunting your mind, the more when you see the development of the world, especially the increasing development of robots and electronical/artificial intelligence... what i always liked about lem is, that instead of a happy end he always leaves us with a big question mark at the end of his stories... i often feel reminded of him when i look at fractal works, especially MB3Ds...
oh it's a pity, i just searched for a MB work entitled "solaris" but all is taken over by mangas, there must be some film or series with the same title...
just found one item that fits (although it's quite different from my imagination) and has a nice comment to it...
goblinhood.deviantart.com/art/…
most of the depictions i saw relate to the newer movie, in which they don't show too much of the planet, what i found a clever thing, because it would be tremendous work to really show it following the description in the book... the newer film i liked for the actors, but absolutely not for the quasi happy end they put to it...
i just looked - did i write all this???

There seems to be a fixation in the human psyche regarding "buttocks"... Not at all surprising given our bi-pedal nature. I however, was (also) reminded of seeds. That is; the "Flowering" of imagination bearing fruit to be planted in the firmament of the mind so that the process of propagating new (imagination driven) thoughts can continue this VITAL process.
In any event this piece has proven provocative... And that, is very good.

Thank you so much for your elaborate and almost poetic comment! I'm glad that new fruit has been planted in the firmament of your mind!

My imagination suggests somersault: a landing place for buttocks

Of course! That's what it could be! It didn't come up in my mind though... I thought of a birthplace for fractal buttocks. But never mind, Thanks for your comment again, Renate!

Thanks for your comment, Fabio! But "soft porn"? Must be the persistence of your imagination, I guess...
