Description Weirdly enough this is hanging from a ceiling in a church...and it's not even a sailor's church...hmm...

Anyway, I hope you like it!

I remember they had a ship like that hanging from the ceiling at my local church in Västra Karup too. Perhaps it isn't that uncommon?

Tack, Alex! Jag tog bilden i en liten kyrka strax norr om Kungälv så kanske det är en västkustgrej...

This reminds me of a movie, though I can't recall which one it is... did you use HDR on this? or is the actual colors? either way, it's beautiful. Reminds me kind of of a fairy tale or something.

Yes, it's actually HDR processed and hence the colours though they actually were enhanced more in photoshop afterwards...

ahhh, it's very nice. I like your HDR, it's not too harsh like some of them.

It is quite strong on this one, that HDR effect...originally HDR was not even meant to be used this much but merely add some enhancement...it got out of hand when everybody could start using the technique in the comfort of their home computers...lol...
I try to keep it on somewhat believable level but I've noticed that the ones, like this one, that look a bit unreal tend to get most comments so I try to find a balance between overdoing and keeping it realistic...just a little...

I like this one, really. It's interesting and looks like stories could be told. I like that about a lot of your photography. Even if they're just fables, there's still a story it could wrap around.

Yours still look realistic, some, look like, someone look like paintings without color control, which is odd.
