Thing is at least we know what happened to him and Mavado (well at least in the comics). In the game, the devs have not said anything or at least told us what happened to her. Fans have asked for months and still nothing. I think she is really dead, otherwise there wouldn't be a debate in what happened to her when NRS could have just told us. It may be 3-4 years before a new MK game is released and by then, it'll be a forgotten memory just like MKX.
