Jax woke up screaming throwing off his blankets and thrashing about as if trying to physically fight off his nightmares.
He almost always had these nightmares, but some are worse than others.
This one by far had to have been his worst, no words could describe the pure terror he felt. But even still he failed to recall what causes him so much fear no matter how hard he tried to remember.
As he sat trying to recollect himself in the darkness Jax heard the door open,
Reflex he tried to reach into the drawer next to the bed.
"Hey, hey Jax. It's me it's okay."
Jax looked up and immediately regretted what he almost did. "Sorry Guy, I just...I had a nightmare..."
Guy's face never changed, something Jax had to admire when someone almost shoots you, "I figured, I heard you scream." even his voice was flat.
Guy was a mystery wrapped in an enigma. He never seemed to show emotion or well, react to things. It was both disturbing and strangely calming. Jax could already feel his fear subsiding just by having Guy be in the same room, he felt safe with him around.
"Sorry..." Jax repeated almost childishly.
"For what?"
Jax paused, "Well, waking you up I guess, I assume me waking up screaming annoys you."
Guy laughed slightly, that was a new one. He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, "I don't sleep anyways. Don't worry about it okay?" he tilted his head "The real question is; are you okay?"
He nodded meekly. Guy stood up to leave--
"Actually.." Guy turned to look at him, "Can you stay with me? Atleast until I fall asleep?"
Guy graced Jax with a rare smile as he got into bed with him. Jax against better judgement curled up into his chest. He was already starting to drift again.
The unicorn closed his eyes and leaned back, "Jax, remember I'm here for you." he wrapped an arm around him. "Don't forget that. Now try and get some sleep."

the digital version does look a lot better, not just the ponies, but with the addition of the background and shading, it gives it the image more feeling to it

Yeah that was my intent
I suck at doing backgrounds on paper because one mistake ruins the entire image when I can just remove pieces I dont like in photoshop

But I just am horrible with them, plus it takes a while

I don't draw very often
no way near as much as you or other people I know
I say I would say, I draw 1 picture for every 10 to 15 you do

I just sketch and go from there man, I also mass post so...it looks like I draw more than I actually do.
I tend to do about 1 sketch a day and finish 2 colored pieces a week and if I'm lucky 1 digital unless I'm particularly inspired then I binge draw 5-6 images at a time but don't finish.

I never really sketch or practice since I am lazy.
When ever I draw I usually try to finish the thing and spend hours and hours on it, other then drawing smaller things that would take a lot less time.
I say I draw, every few weeks or once a week but that's uncommon.
