Description
My first submission with the D60. I've been envisioning this shot and I like it. Not sure if I am totally satisfied, but its all good. I edited in Picasa. Crop, straighten and very slight contrast adjustment. Hope you like it. Seems like its been forever since I've submitted a sunset.Related content

I'll start by saying that I enjoy this shot. I'm a sucker for sunsets. The rays of the sun coming from behind the cloud are good, and the colors are nice. There is the right amount of dark foreground to show off the sky.
The bird is, in my opinion, a great addition to the shot, and will set it apart from most sunsets. Though that being said, I could also see it as being a distraction.
On the other hand, the colors are rather pastelish, which is not my preference. I prefer a stronger showing of the colors in a sunset. It is also another sunset, and as much as I love them, its not exactly original, so I couldn't give high marks for that, though having the bird in it does help.
Overall, I like this shot. And while it may not be the best sunset I have seen, it is still a beautiful moment.
