I love the angle here, it's SO not typical for car shots. The condition and "patina" of the vehicle really give it great visual interest, although the "off kilter" corrosion weirds me out just a bit. If I had one major critique it would be that it portrays the subject matter in a manner that is, well, not quite fitting with the whole idea that a Cadillac brings to mind. Although, you could say the same for my own "Tatty Princess," and that was a Seville Brougham that cost as much as a Rolls-Royce when it was new! That said, the soft blue evens things out a bit, and given that there's no real reflection to speak of, the lighting is beautiful. Another plus is the relatively clean surface of the parking lot. Nicely done.

Thanks so much for your interest of Cadi2. I'm glad you liked it enough to spend some of your time and tell me why. It's great to hear it some times.

My pleasure. Although I always worry a little about how people really respond to criticism. Great job, though, like I said.

First let me say.. I of course cannot be unbiased about my friends work.

This does not mean I cannot enjoy it on many levels, and it speaks to me as well. I think I was present somewhere this day wearing redface as a master plied his tools nearby.

To my eye there is a ying and yang conponent here.. the rust and erosion of time on the right side coupled with the symmetry on the left with good paint.

I like the clear elevation above the subject and the perspective.. like I a ghost hovering to receive the spirit.

With what appears to be some vital fluid oozing from under the carriage
Not unlike a crime scene song sung long and sadly at the end of the road.

The arc of the chrome like some saber unable to stem the tide of the battle with time. One which we are all deemed to lose.
